Jim hooted and wiped tears from his eyes while McCoy grabbed a small mirror from a supply drawer.
“Pr— ‘Property of Spock’?!?!” He exclaimed incredulously, causing Jim to laugh even harder.

“You will continue to wear this collar, uncovered and without complaint, for the rest of the day, and I will give you a reward.”
McCoy blinked at him.
“A… what?” He asked, frowning. A red tinge graced his cheeks. “What kind of reward?”
“You will have to find out.”

Summary
James T. Kirk has always been a statistical anomaly. He's survived several deadly encounters, charmed the uncharmable, and has rewritten outcomes Spock had once believed immutable. He takes matters into his own hands, refusing to consult anyone before diving headfirst into the waves.
Kirk is rash, confident, rebellious, and independent to the point of being stubborn. He is reactive, volatile, impulsive and unrestrained. He is cocky, smug and overly confident. He is infuriating.
Being in love with Captain Kirk would be illogical.
But logic cannot stop the heart.

Summary
The Dating Service presents Cadets (and planet-side officers) with scent testers of other individuals of the opposing designation until there is one that stands out. The program is highly successful at matching well-suited individuals. Until a Starfleet Cadet or Officer is bonded, they must remain out of positions of leadership and cannot be on exploratory vessels. This allows for Cadets to still gain experience without a higher statistical chance stress will agitate them or their cycle.
Despite opposition, duos have worked in Starfleet’s favor, and no other outside regulatory body has found the research waning. This program is also helpful for those that manage heats and ruts without pharmaceuticals because it guarantees the individual a partner regardless of any romantic connection.
No other organization has dared to take on this policy, finding people’s freedom more important than scent-matching their members.
Society does not find Alphas or Omegas wanting, but Starfleet does.

Premise 1: Spock is going into tish first Pon Farr.
Premise 2: Traveling to T’Pring on Vulcan would require breaking Priority One orders of Enterprise heading to Altair IV.
Premise 3: Following the rules is one of the most important principles that Spock lives by.
Conclusion: The logical course of action is to go to the Captain’s quarters and explain to him why Starfleet Regulations not only condone but encourage having sex in certain situations, and why the two of them should do so post-haste. -

“Really?” The Admiral says in a tone of unabashed curiosity.
“I can assure you, ma’am, we are not doing this for recreational purposes.” Spock says dryly.

Or the one in which Jim gets hit with Sex Pollen TM, but Spock doesn't like his consent dubious so politely declines.
Luckily, that crisis is averted. Unluckily, Jim and Spock realize they have been left unable to go without touching for more than a few minutes without excruciating pain. If only they could cure it through the power of confessing their feelings and having scorching hot sex! -
