Mistakes and choices were made in the past and future, and now there are Four Warriors of Light who could all easily take center stage and be the hero. However, one does appear to shine brighter than the others, perhaps that's whom the story is meant for?
Even then, having FOUR Warriors of Light can't be a bad thing, right? The established timeline won't change that much...

Orpheus plucked the strings in tune with his heartbeat. He thought maybe their hair was not the color of twilight but of the night sea—its endless expanse cut short around their ears.
They filled his song with a wordless melody, and somehow Orpheus could follow it as though it had come from his own heart. In the far distance, where he imagined Amaurot's towers could be, was a particularly wretched storm. Its clouds gray and red, distant sparks of lightning cutting through its excess. He didn't allow himself to think any further on it.
"Orpheus." When had they stopped dancing? He looked up to see their moonlit silhouette, staring at that great storm in the distance.
"Yes?"
"When it comes, you musn't look back. You musn't think of fleeing to Amaurot."
