Summary
For five hundred years, Rínior and Maedeth, the last descendants of Fëanor through his son Caranthir, have aided Arthedain in its war against Angmar.
Rínior protects the southern border as the famed Hero of the North. He will do anything to protect his wife and young daughter, but five hundred years is a long time to be surrounded by death and destruction. Despair nips at his heels. Elrohir cautions him to look for light amidst the endless darkness.
Maedeth serves the kings as a councilwoman and trusted emissary. She worries for her brother’s safety while sitting at home in a dying kingdom, but after five hundred years she is given a mission which she cannot afford to fail. Elladan refuses to leave her side, guarding her on her journey.
But the doom of Mandos is not far behind. With Celebrimbor dead, only the twins remain of Fëanor’s line. And perhaps in the twilight of Arthedain, the words spoken after the first kinslaying will finally come to fruition: “For blood ye shall render blood, and beyond Aman ye shall dwell in Death's shadow.”

Glorfindel comes to Rivendell, gains a squire, and tests himself against both his memories of the past, and an enemy of the Third Age.
A story for Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang, inspired by art 102, a truly magnificent portrait of Glorfindel by Sempermoi, which you'll find embedded in this work. Many thanks to Quente for a very helpful beta read.

Summary
"There are many things in the deep waters; and seas and lands may change. And it is not our part here to take thought only for a season, or for a few lives of Men, or for a passing age of the world." - Gandalf, LotR
What if the Feanorian line had never ended? By the time of the War of the Ring, only one remains, Miril, seasoned Ranger of the North and adopted daughter of Halbarad. Fully committed to seeing her chieftain and friend upon his rightful throne, Miril finds herself traipsing around Middle Earth, sometimes crossing paths with the Fellowship, and often in the company of the sons of Elrond. But her plans of total dedication to Aragorn gets disrupted when Galadriel allows her a glimpse in the mirror, and to everyone's dismay, it appears that the silmarils are not yet done with the line of Feanor.
Follow Miril and her son Aderthon as they seek redemption for the eldest house of Finwe and protection for all the Free Peoples. Stretches between the Third and Fourth Ages, from before the War of the Ring until the Dagor Dagorath.

Fandom The Hobbit - J. R. R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion and other histories of Middle-Earth - J. R. R. Tolkien

Summary
Stories about history and transmission of story in Middle-earth focussing on Bilbo Baggins in later life; his role as a scholar and Elf-friend after his adventure, and the writing that he did in Rivendell: 'Translations from the Elvish'; a work of great scholarship, compiled with the help of the Elves of Rivendell, which later passed to Elanor Gamgee and from there to Gondor. Some of the stories from the Silmarillion and the History of Middle-earth series are here re-told in a more hobbitish form.
This series has no overall arc and will probably never be marked complete. Each of the stories is designed to stand alone, and I endeavour to make them canon-compliant in so far as that is possible.

Series Notes:
Then he gave Frodo his mithril-coat and Sting, forgetting that he had already done so; and he gave him also three books of lore that he had made at various times, written in his spidery hand, and labelled on their red backs: Translations from the Elvish, by B.B.
The Return of the King, LoTR Book 6, Ch 5, Many PartingsThis account of the end of the Third Age [The Lord of the Rings] is drawn mainly from the Red Book of Westmarch. ... It was in origin Bilbo's private diary, which he took with him to Rivendell. ... But annexed to it and preserved with it, probably in a single red case, were the three large volumes, bound in red leather, that Bilbo gave to him [Frodo] as a parting gift. ...
But the chief importance of Findegil's copy [of the Red Book] is that it alone contains the whole of Bilbo's 'Translations from the Elvish'. These three volumes were found to be a work of great skill and learning in which, between 1403 and 1418, he had used all the sources available to him in Rivendell, both living and written. But since they were little used by Frodo, being almost entirely concerned with the Elder Days, no more is said of them here.

Summary
In the Valley of Imladris, Elrond and his companions have founded the Last Homely House - a refuge, a haven of peace in the wilderness of Middle Earth. Erestor alone remembers the flames, the blood, the ashes, the terrible flight from the ruined city. But he is not the only survivor of the Fall of Gondolin, it seems, and Glorfindel's arrival shatters his hard-won composure. Memories resurface, of the House of the Fountain, of Ecthelion, who took him in and raised him as a brother, of a golden hero on a white horse, riding out to battle...
And Glorfindel's fate seems to be as inseperable intertwined with the House of the Fountain as with that of the House of Earendil - not that anyone ever asked Erestor's opinion on the matter, or whether he wanted to inherit the entire gloomy history of his house, golden-haired fools included. In other news: Elrond meddles, Celebrían sends flowers, Galadriel and Celeborn give advice, Thranduil gets on everyone's nerves, the dwarves raid the wine-cellar, and the Witch-King of Angmar does his very best to ruin everything.
