Artemy hasn't seen her for weeks, it's odd considering their last conversation. He assumed she was sticking around, going to be one of the town's Mistresses. But perhaps she changed her mind. It's even stranger than Dankovsky has stayed, when she hasn't. But Artemy tries not to think about it much, he has a town to help rebuild. And he has to find his place in it.
But sometimes, when it's quiet, he wonders.
