This Ship Sails Itself All The Way To Valinor
...and canonically into the most unmitigatedly happy ending of anyone in the whole Legendarium, I think. Whether you prefer your Gimleaf to be enmeshed romantically, or platonically, or in that ambiguous state of all-encompassing yet undefined love that they exemplify so well, they are truly the ultimate comfort-ship.
They are also extremely addictive to write, and keeping their stories all contained into one series has grown unwieldy. Hence transitioning from series(es) to this collection, into which every story I write featuring them will be gathered henceforth, whether that be in canon-verse, movie-verse, a canon-divergence, or a full AU.
(If you are looking for the series collecting their canon-verse stories only, you want The Wide Waters Not So Lonely Sailing.)

Summary
Celebrimbor is not healed, may never be truly healed, from what Sauron did to him. But he returned from the Halls of Mandos, returned to Middle-earth, anyway: it is the only way that he can attempt to make amends for the devastating mistake of trusting Annatar and the ruin that his misplaced trust unleashed upon the world.
With the great smith who helped forge the Rings of Power on their side, the Council of Elrond has an option they did not have before. Now Celebrimbor and Frodo Baggins must journey together into darkness, along with a handful of trusty companions, in hopes of unmaking the One Ring before all of Middle-earth is swamped in a war that only Sauron can win.
But wounds of the spirit linger even more than do wounds of the flesh, and Celebrimbor's path through the shadows that Sauron wrought upon the world will be hard. And all the Fellowship will have to face great peril before they will have even the faintest chance of realising this desperate, foolish hope.

Summary
A smattering of snippets set throughout the (im)mortal lives of the remaining members of the Fellowship on the other side of the Sundering Sea.
"Have your thoughts settled enough that you might share them now?" Legolas asked. "Or must you sift them further yet?"
Gimli sighed. "You are using dwarven metaphors again, my dear. If you do that in front of the elves of Tirion too much, they will start to think you odd."
"If the elves of Tirion have not yet started to think me strange already, then it is only because we have not yet spent much time in Tirion," Legolas retorted

Summary
The Dead are walking across Middle-earth. With the palantir-network down, there is no way to warn the world of the danger that is lurching out of its shadows save by carrying the news out by hand. Imladris Hospital has failed to find a cure. Mirkwood is burning, and Gondor rots from within. A desperate company of Elves, Men, and Dwarves strike-out across the shadowed land to seek answers from the lore-masters of Lothlórien, but the journey there will prove darker and more perilous than any could have foreseen. Will they live long enough to save their homelands? Or will they die…and Rise again?
Or: a zombie apocalypse story set in a modernized high fantasy version of Middle-earth starring some familiar faces in a very different war against the dark and the dead.

Summary
In the wake of Aragorn's supposed death on the way to Helm's Deep, Gimli and Legolas seek for comfort amidst their grief—and ultimately find it, as they ever do, in one another.
Eventually Legolas said quietly, "Men go on."
"Go on where?"
"Beyond the circles of the world," Legolas said. "No one knows where; or at least, the elves do not. All we know is that they go, and they do not return."
Gimli nodded. "They do not come back," he said, and understanding began to dawn.
"No," said Legolas. "No, they do not." Another long, waiting silence fell; again, it was Legolas who broke it, asking very quietly, "Do dwarves?"

Eerily beautiful, captivating eyes...
