Summary
Butterfly effect
/ˈbʌtəflʌɪ ɪˌfɛkt/
noun(In chaos theory) the phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere.
———
The war started suddenly, unexpectedly. No one was prepared for the destruction it brought with itself, the government declining any accusations that pointed at them as a cause.
Because it's always ghosts, right? They're not living, sentient beings; they can't think for themselves or make decisions (it's, after all, a human thing).
Batman has his own say in this but he can't do much when there's no proof, evidence. And then salvation comes in the form of a survivor – a teenager... Or does it?

Summary
The portion of the sky over the other houses that she could see from her bedroom window was an indigo so deep it was almost black, the dark colors smearing onto the sunlit bricks of the houses below.
“I’m sorry,” they whispered to the darkening sky. “I never meant for any of this to happen. You don’t deserve this.”

Sam is there the day Danny dies, the day he walks them down into the basement and doesn't walk back out.
It had been Sam's idea, and they regretted every second that came after.
