The first time Jason Todd called him, Dick was pleasantly surprised. Despite being the one to give the kid his number, he didn’t expect to get a call from the new Robin so soon. He was hoping that Jason would take his olive branch, so they could really start over on better terms. He just didn’t imagine it would happen this soon.

Dick was almost asleep when Jason spoke again. He couldn’t see his brother clearly in the dark room, but he could feel him move his head away from Dick’s chest.
“Dickie,” Jason waited for Dick’s small noise of acknowledgement before he kept talking. “Why did you hate me before?”
