Summary
Jiang Cheng had always thought his brother gave away love too freely. To Wei Wuxian, love was a well; an endless pool he drew on, again and again, never growing dry. Maybe it was a part of Cangse Sanren, maybe he’d inherited it from Wei Cangze, hell, maybe it was just a Wei Wuxian thing.
If Wei Wuxian was an endless well, Jiang Cheng was a small box with a heavy lock and love was the scarce rarity that he tucked away in it. It was barren and waning and definitely not enough for anyone, much less himself. Even as a child, Jiang Cheng knew that love was a weapon. It was no flowery softness- it was a push and a pull, a give and a take. For Jiang Cheng, love was a spoil of war.
And to someone who believed it something you gave and didn’t have to earn, well, Wei Wuxian could never begin to understand.

Our resident angsty jiu-jiu and his nephew do some thinking and a little crying but things end up okay.
