Chapter Text
Tooru squealed and posed in front of her mirror as Tsuyu and Aoyama sat on her bed. She had practically kidnapped the pair of them to help her pick out her outfit for her date. "What do you think?" She turned and fluffed the red skirt as she turned to her friends.
"The skirt is super cute Ribbit," Tsuyu said looking at the layered ruffles. "The shirt doesn't quite match though."
"I agree!" Aoyama said as he bounced up to ruffle through her clothes in the closet. He grabbed a simple white T-shirt and a shiny locket. "Try this!"
Tooru grabbed the clothes and quickly changed. She looked at herself in the mirror and twirled around. "This is perfect!" She said. "I am so excited! I can't believe he actually asked me out!"
"It was only a matter of time ma cherie," Aoyama said. "He's been making eyes at you since school started."
"It's true," Tsuyu said. "Although, he's so shy I was worried you would have to make the first move. Ribbit."
"Aw shucks you guys are making me blush," Tooru said. They were interrupted by a door bell ringing. "Oh, that must be him! I'll tell you all about it tonight!"
"Have fun! Ribbit."
"I want details!" Aoyama yelled as Tooru opened the door. Izuku was there with a bouquet of gerbera daisies and a huge blush on his face.
"H-H-Hi," He squeaked as he handed her the bouquet. "For you."
"Thank you!" She said as she accepted the flowers. "Come in. Let me find a vase for these, and then we can go."
"O-Okay," Izuku said as he stepped inside. He watched as Hagakure grabbed a vase and put his meager offering of flowers inside it while filling it up with water. "You're house is nice." He said as he looked around.
"Thank you!" Hagakure said before grabbing Izuku's hand and dragging him out the door. "Let's go!"
"Okay," Izuku said blushing down to his roots as they held hands.
"So what do you have in mind?" Tooru asked happily swinging their hands back and forth. "A movie? The mall?"
"A-actually," Izuku stuttered. "I thought we might have a picnic in the park."
"That sounds great!" Tooru said. "Lead the way!" Izuku led Hagakure to a small wooded park close to her house and saw that he had already had a picnic basket set up and waiting for them. "Ooh that's so cute!" she said. "I love it!"
"I'm glad!" Izuku said with a winning smile. "The park has always been a lucky spot for me and it was the first place I met you so I figured it would make a great first date!"
Tooru clutched at her heart and blushed down to her roots, not that Izuku could tell. If she wasn't in love with him before, she definitely was now. "Does this mean there will be more dates?"
"I hope so!" Izuku blurted out. "I mean, I don't want to force you if you don't really like me, but I promise to do my best to be a good boyfriend!" That determined glint that always filled his eyes was directed towards her, letting him know he was dead serious.
"That sounds wonderful to me," Tooru said pulling Izuku into an unexpected hug. "I've liked you for a long time, and am grateful you chose me."
"R-really?" Izuku asked holding back tears.
"Really," Tooru said pulling back just enough to kiss Izuku on the cheek. She giggled at the way he blushed and pulled away. "What did you make for lunch?"
The date went on and the couple talked for hours as they ate. With high spirits, Izuku escorted Tooru back home. They stopped in front of the gate and before Izuku could think better of it he stepped forward to give her a kiss on the cheek. Hagakure laughed as he pulled back and grabbed his cheeks in between her hands guiding his face to hers before giving him a light peck on the lips. "Good night Izuku," Tooru said before opening the gate and running inside.
Izuku watched her go. His cheeks began to steam and he melted in a happy puddle as he thought about what just happened. He couldn't believe it. Hagakure Tooru liked him. Hagakure Tooru kissed him! He had a girlfriend. HE HAD A GIRLFRIEND!!!! Happily he collected himself and skipped home.
