Chapter Text
The sunset was gorgeous at this time of day
The dying rays of Earth's warmth-giving star died out, as it retreated away from this side of the planet, leaving behind trails of purple and pink behind the rising black, the cloudless sky meaning that the two lovebirds got the chance to see the stars twinkling into view.
"You were right." one of the two people watching the spectacle from a rooftop, who was named Girlfriend, said to her lover, who was named Boyfriend "The skies from up here are, like, gorgeous."
The two continued to stare up at the sky, the peaceful silence occasionally broken by the sound of a train blasting pass. Eventually, Girlfriend began to lean on Boyfriend's shoulder, causing the blue haired man to blush and lean his head onto hers in return.
A shame the peace could not last forever.
All of a sudden, a huffing noise broke out behind them, as Boyfriend jolted his head up, confused on what was happening. A second huff, identical to the first, later appeared. They were followed by some chatter, two voice, identical to each other, quietly whispering to each other, followed by a nod he couldn't see.
Then, footsteps and the cocking of a gun, the latter getting ever closer and closer.
Boyfriend jolted his head behind him, only to see a familiar face, one from long ago.
"PICO?" He shouted, as the figure jumped back. He knew that old gingered-haired smug bastard from a mile away, how could he fail to recognize him? Was it the fact it seemed like he was talking to himsel-
A green and orange blur in his precipital vision caused him to jolt up, nearly tossing Girlfriend off the building, but he reacted quickly enough to get her to her feet in time.
"Wh- Boyfriend?" the second Pico shouted, nearly white eyes locked on the figure before him, as he tossed his UZI aside for a moment. This was who he was sent to kill? His EX?
"Wait-" Girlfriend asked, even more out of the loop than Boyfriend was "You like, know these two?"
"We used to date!" Boyfriend replied to his current crush "But there was... only one of him! I have no idea how he cloned himself!"
"Long time no see, Boyfriend..." Pico said, placing his hand on his shoulder. "My, you've grown quite a bit, hmm?"
"Pico- but- two Picos-"
The second Pico smirked and laughed for a bit, before directing his gaze to the first Pico, the one who was approaching Boyfriend but stopped when he recognized him. He was rather confused by everything that just happened this night. First, he was going to be assassinated by him, then he was turned into him to help him out, then he had to kill the ex of the person he was now hunting down?
"So, Boyfriend, meet Taylor." Pico said as he approached his clone, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I recruited him after... some persuasion, and he's helpin' me now. Say, have you heard of 'Daddy Dearest'?"
Boyfriend paused for a moment, he and Girlfriend still trying to understand everything, before Taylor spoke up.
"Well? You gonna talk, blue boy?"
"OH- Yeah, sorry, just thinking." Boyfriend said, snapped out of his thoughts. "Yeah, he tried to kill me 'cause he doesn't like the idea of me dating his daughter!"
Pico and Taylor took a moment to chuckle at his poor luck, before the latter approached, putting his gun up to his chin.
"Well, seems like he really hates ya." Pico responded, a cold grin forming on his face, which grew a little as he looked down at the mic in his hand. "Unless..."
"Unless what?"
Pico pulled out a mic of his own, tossing it to Taylor before pulling out a second one, both identical men smirking as they looked at him.
"Unless you beat us in a little rap battle here." Pico responded
"And if you fail, then, well..." Taylor continued. "...'Fraid we'll have to splatter your brains out over the street."
Boyfriend smirked, shouting out "You're on!" and readying his mic. Girlfriend, meanwhile, with a snap of her figures, summoned forth a set of speakers which she then crawled on top of.
Yet again, on a Friday night, they were funkin'.
