Chapter Text
Katsuki was officially released from the toy workshop by mastering the first step. He thought he would have been happier about it, but he actually had started to like it there. The last days he had spent his lunch breaks with Deku and often stopped in the mechanics department even though he didn’t need anything. It was fun. Watching Deku tinker and also see what he was up to with his crazy buddy in crime Mei. The pink haired elf would have gotten her own tv show if she’d live with humans, Katsuki was convinced of that.
But now only two weeks were left till Christmas Eve and Katsuki had to master the second step before he had to deliver the coal or presents as the last step, depending on how well he did with the new step now.
However before he headed over to that, he wanted to – ok, yeah, it’s hard to admit but he wanted to thank the dorky green-eyed elf with the pointy ears. Without Deku who knew how long he would have stuck in the toy workshop and which would then have led to being stuck at the North Pole forever.
So Katsuki had thought about it, thought about it really hard and only came up with one way to thank him. Something he would definitely like, something every elf got crazy over. Hot chocolate. It was like a drug for them, similar to what marijuana would do to a human. Normally Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus had a strict regulation over hot chocolate and only gave it to them two times a year. The elves kept guard of their small stock and most time only consumed it at festivities or organized events extra to drink hot chocolate in groups. But for Katsuki hot chocolate was just a normal morning drink, so he prepared some and filled it into a thermos to take it with him into the elves’ village.
First he had looked at the toy workshop for the elf but got send over to the reindeer barn. Apparently Deku had a free day once a week and often spent it there. Katsuki stomped his way over to where knew the barn was, annoyed that he had actually go search the dork. Freezing his ass. Up the hill again, passing Santa’s house, the shop for the sledge and a bit further away were the wooden barns with gable roofs where a herd of reindeers were cared for by elves. Three buildings stood in an open rectangle, making a small farmyard.
Katsuki entered the barn nearest to him but was only greeted with a small group of reindeers turning their heads into his direction, starring at him for a moment and then continuing to chew their hay, not interested anymore. He walked through, entered the next but found this time eight boxes with only a single reindeer in each of them, he huffed annoyed and passed them, entering the last barn. As soon as he had opened the door giggles Katsuki immediately connected with the green eyed, baby faced elf filled the small space and he felt already a tiny bit warmer.
He followed the sound and in the last corner of the barn he found Deku in the so-called ‘baby school’ where the newborn reindeer fawns were normally taught to get used to elves. He was surrounded by five little fawns and squealed and giggled happily. Next to him stood Togata and Hitoshi two elves he also grew up with, the one had gained a fair share of muscles, the other a fair share of eyebags. They prepared bottles to feed the fawns with warm milk fresh from their mothers.
“Oh, hey Kacchan! Are these not cute?” Deku rubbed his face into their fur and cooed at them. The other two elves looked up at that while Katsuki leaned against the wooden fence dividing the baby school from the rest of the barn.
“What about them is cute? They are fucking ugly.”
“Ha! That’s Katsuki for you!” Togata laughed and walked over to him. “Hey man, how have you been?”
“Fucking fine.”
“Ah, that’s good to hear! You wanna feed the fawns as well?” Katsuki snorted and shook his head. Did he look like he wanted?
“Fuck no.”
“Did you really expect him to answer with yes Togata?” The purple haired eye bag fucker Hitoshi snickered and closed the last bottle and gave Izuku two and split the rest between him and Togata. The three elves started to feed the hungry mouths and Katsuki watched how Deku practically shone all over his face, happy and content.
“So what are you doing here anyway Kacchan? Have you met this year’s reindeer flyers yet?” Deku’s head jut out behind the fawns with curious eyes.
“No idiot, I’m not here because of some dumb reindeers-“, Deku gasped and tried to cover the ears of the little fawns, “I was looking for you. Mei said your lame ass would probably be here.” He snickered to Deku’s shocked expressions and propped his head on this hand.
“Kacchan! These are still kids!”
“Dork.”
“So you found me, was there something you wanted from me?” Deku’s eyes were weirdly fixed on him, inquiringly, as if he were tearing into his soul. But maybe that was just Katsuki’s interpretation. He straightened up slightly, mentally preparing to say ‘thank you’.
“I wanted to… say-“ Shit, did those two extras have to be here? They watched him with as much interest as Deku, all eyes fixed on him. “Fuck. Do you want some hot chocolate or not?” He totally forwent his gratitude, but he was always better with action than words.
The following silence was deafening as all of them stopped completely and starred shocked at Katsuki. He started to frown by their weird reaction and wanted to say something when Togata started to laugh unexpectedly.
“So forward!” This seemed to rattle the others free from their shock and while Hitoshi started to smirk madly showing his teeth and all, Deku got the most furious blush Katsuki had ever seen. His head looked like a strawberry with his red face and green hair. What? Why did they act so weird?
“Ka-kacchan!!” Deku sounded scandalized, franticly trying to hide behind his hands which were full of the baby bottles, hungry mouths following them. “Y-you can’t ask me that in front of everyone!” What? “And in front of the kids as well! That’s so awkward!” Okay… was he dumb?
“Are you fucking serious? Does that mean you don’t want any hot chocolate?”
“Kacchan!! Don’t ask me that!” Deku seemed really serious about that and it actually hurt Katsuki that he had tried to give him a pleasure and his gratefulness got rejected without much thought.
“Fucking suit yourself!” He pulled the thermos with the hot chocolate out of his jacket, placed it on the fence before he furiously headed out of the barn, stomping angrily through the snow. Stupid Deku! Thinking he was above Katsuki’s gratitude! Fucking idiot!
Halfway back to Santa’s house where a warm fireplace was waiting for him to warm up, he heard fast steps running after him. “Kacchan! Wait! I’m sorry! Would you please stop finally? Kacchan!” The green-haired shouts’ reached his ears faintly and he didn’t think twice to stop for the elf, marching on furiously. The shouts continued and when the sledge shop and Santa’s house came in view, Katsuki slowed down, Deku’s word about Christmas still heavy in his mind. Forgiveness, to remember what truly is important, that it’s not worth to fight each other. He was about to stop and wait for Deku when a snowball hit his head dead on target, immediately letting him forget his resolve. Did the shitty nerd really throw a snowball after him? He cracked his knuckles, grinning madly. “Bring it on Deku!”
“Wah-cchan, no wait!” The elf had to dodge some serious snowballs thrown his way, getting hit by several. “Kacchan please! Would you just stop and listen for a moment?”
“Oh I listen fucker, doesn’t mean I’m gonna stop!” Katsuki’s approach was steadily and he run from tree to tree to dodge the next batch of snowballs.
“Well! Is it really hot chocolate in the thermos that you left me?” He shouted over.
“Dumbass! Of course it is!” Just at the thought of having a whole thermos full of hot chocolate did Deku’s pupils widen. He started to laugh suddenly thinking back to what he thought what Kacchan had meant with hot chocolate. Nothing actually including hot chocolate ~
Meanwhile Katsuki had made his way over to him and he held his hands up placatingly but that didn’t stop the boy, he tackled Deku into the snow where the two of them wrestled like the stupid boys they were. After a while, the blond emerged on top of the elf, having him pinned efficiently under him. Both were breathing hard, small clouds forming in the cold air and Deku’s giggles only increased.
“Why are you laughing nerd?” Katsuki panted, making sure Deku stayed underneath him.
“Kacchan, have you ever heard of hot chocolate and chill?”
“Ha? Hot chocolate and chill? What is that fucking supposed to mean?”
“W-well it’s a slang here for… for you know…” The elf started to blush again and avoided Katsuki’s curious eyes.
“Are you fucking telling me you shitty elves use hot chocolate as a codeword to bang each other?!” Deku nodded and slowly tried to catch his reaction. They locked eyes and starred at each other, their panting still filling the air between them while Katsuki needed a moment to realize what that actually meant. That Deku must have thought that he wanted to fuck him. The green eyes staring up at him didn’t seem that fazed by the idea and Katsuki felt, weirdly enough, turned on. Then he remembered their current position and jumped up, this time being the one who got a mad blush. “Your race is so fucking stupid, what are gonna do when you actually talk about hot chocolate?!” Deku chuckled and got up as well, beating some snow from his coat.
“You’re right. For a moment there I thought you got the hots for me ~ don’t even understand how I could have considered that.” Katsuki didn’t see his face as he said it because Deku had walked past him, but he followed him and chuckled quietly noticing his sarcasm.
“Dork.” He shoved him a bit before he stopped again. “You should better go and enjoy your fucking hot chocolate. Don’t know how long it will stay warm.” Deku stopped as well and turned to him again, smiling genuinely.
“Wanna drink it with me?”
“Shitty nerd, are you making fun of me?”
Meanwhile just a bit further down the path…
“Did you see that Kyouka?!” Denki’s head peaked out from behind a tree trunk, his eyes curiously following the two friends.
“Shut up or they will hear you!” The purple haired girl hissed and pressed herself against the tree trunk, not daring to get found out by them.
“They have the hots for each other, they wanna kiss each other, they are into each other ~ Do you think the same as what I think?”
“I agree.” Kyouka sighed and nodded her head while Denki’s eyes started to sparkle.
“So it’s decided, let’s start with business. Mission Mistletoe is on the move!”
*.*.*.*
“Ok old hag, I’m here for the next fucking step. What am I supposed to do?” Katsuki stood at the reindeer barn and watched his mother and a few elves lead the reindeers outside to the paddock.
“Here, follow me brat.” Mitsuki gave the supervision over to Togata and then rounded the barn with him. And where the paddock ended, there started a small field about as big as a basketball court with various obstacles like a wooden wall, monkey bars, tree stumps, low fences, and a lot more. Reminding Katsuki of a military obstacle course.
“Ha? What’s that? You putting me at the fucking playground again?” He smirked. If that was his next step than he was already halfway to New York, with years of parkour this obstacle course was nothing for him.
“Oh you think this will be a playground? Let me remind you: We’re at the fucking North Pole brat! Cold, thinner air, snowy, icy conditions and you’ll be wearing extra weight. A Santa has to carry about four or six presents at a time. One present might have around 5kg, so let’s say you get 30kg to carry in your backpack. Normally you’d have three minutes to finish this course, but I heard about your bet with your dad that if you win, you’ll switch places with him this Christmas Eve. We decided for you to win this bet, you have to beat the course in under one minute.”
“One minute? That’s it? That’s a piece of cake.” His mother laughed and swirled her finger around to materialize a backpack out of thin air with extra weight for him to take.
“Well go ahead, I’m taking your time.” Katsuki snorted, equipped the backpack, and watched as the blond woman in appearance and characteristics so similar to him stood at the edge of the field to time him. He jumped and stretched a bit to get warmer, then got in a ready stance, waiting for the signal to start.
Katsuki crawled, swung, climbed, ran and parkoured his way through the course and came heavy breathing at Mrs. Claus’ side to a rest, glancing at her as he leaned forward to fill his body with air. This fucking cold air which stung like a badass in his lungs. “So? What time do I have?”
His mother nodded approving and showed him the stopwatch.
“Two minutes and 10 seconds, not bad but if you want to win the bet you have to get a lot better.” She laughed before she headed back into the barn. “Oh right, and you’re gonna help out with the reindeers meanwhile! It will help with your training!” Her red coat disappeared in the wooden barn and Katsuki fell back in the snow, still catching his breath and starring into the grey blue sky. Fuck, he was allergic to dust.
*.*.*.*
“Kacchan, are you crying?”
“No, I’m not! Fuck off!”
Roughly a week went by since their hot chocolate get-together, in which the two couldn’t meet as much as they probably wanted to. Deku worked overtime at the toy workshop and Katsuki returned to his strict bedtime because working at the reindeer barn meant waking up at 5am.
The elf with pointy ears and green hair and eyes poked his head into the reindeer box he was currently cleaning and started to smile when he saw the blond, aggressively shoving shit on a wheelbarrow while his face was flood with tears.
“But Kacchan you are!”
“No shut up! It’s just fucking dust.” Deku made an astonished but understanding face while following his movements. Katsuki hauled a fresh hay bale into the box and then proceeded to the neighboring box. The reindeer inside watched unamused but alert-eyed and followed all his movements like the elf.
“Oh that’s Hawks! Did you know that he is right now the fastest of Santa’s eight reindeer flyers? Hence his name.” Katsuki raised an eyebrow but ignored him further to continue his work, wanting to go back to the obstacle course. “Oh and besides him, that’s Edgeshot! He earned his nickname because of how he always shot from the edge to the first position in the reindeer races! And over there! These are Tiger and Forth Kind! The two strongest of the flyers! Miruko is the only female flyer but she has guts like no other! Oh
~ and see there? That’s Camui Woods, a really kind and mysterious one! But watch out for Fat Gum! He is such a gluttony. Though he always shreds that fat on Christmas night.” Deku mumbled excitedly, going with Katsuki from box to box and patting the reindeers while he hauled the new bales of hay.
“So is it your day off again?” The blond sniffed and sounded nasal with his nose full of snot.
“Unfortunately yes, there is still way too much work left. But how is the obstacle course coming along? Made any progress?” Katsuki huffed and rolled his eyes.
“I fucking hope so. Wanna take my time?” Deku’s eyes started to sparkle as he eagerly nodded his head.
“Sure Kacchan!”
He parkoured through the obstacle course again and was pretty confident that he was faster but maybe not fast enough yet. “Amazing Kacchan!” Deku cheered from the sideline and then walked over to him. “One minute and 35 seconds! That’s unbelievable fast! It was like watching some ninja!”
“Tch. It’s not fast enough. If I wanna beat the old man I have to be under a minute. And it’s just a week till Christmas Eve.”
“I’m sure you can do it!”
“Of course I can!” Katsuki straightened up and then crossed his arms over his chest. “So what about you? Wanna give it a try?” He remembered their early morning talk in the toy workshop where Deku had laid his heart out and actually admitted of wanting to be Santa Claus. Somehow that fact didn’t let him go.
“What? Me? Nooo, I’ll be terrible!” Deku’s eyes had widened of alarm and Katsuki smirked down at him.
“Yeah, you’re right. What was I fucking thinking? I must have misjudged you for someone who actually wanted to be the next Santa because that would be easy shit for them. Clearly I was wrong.” It was like someone had put a switch on and Deku’s eyes became firm and confident. Suddenly a fire burned in them. He sneered, that little shit actually sneered at him, and then he got ready to take the obstacle course.
The elf didn’t fair that bad, his time was something around four minutes, Katsuki had really thought he would have needed longer than that, except there was just one obstacle he couldn’t pass and skipped. The fucking wooden wall. And Deku was determined to overcome it.
“Kacchaaaaan, show me one more time.” Deku fell down from a failed attempt again while the blond snickered next to him.
“I keep telling you, this has nothing to do with how you fucking jump. It’s alone your shitty mindset. There’s no wall you can’t overcome, just fucking believe it.” Deku sighed and not giving up took another run-up.
Katsuki watched on as the elf kept failing and after a while he got frustrated and decided to lend him a helping hand. So when Deku took another run-up he stood next to the jumping point at the wall and gave him a push of momentum when taking off. Suddenly Deku shot up, not expecting the push. He could have easily went over the wall but was too shocked and instead cried out and flailed wildly his arms to regain balance. Katsuki was sure Deku would finally jump over the wall and didn’t see him coming back down. He crashed on him and buried them in the snow, panting heavy and losing orientation for a moment.
“Fucker”, Katsuki groaned under the elf as the other whined and didn’t move. Deku’s face was pressed on the blonde’s chest, unconsciously noticing how firm and built he was.
“S-sorry! You could have given me a heads up!”
“Oh, so it’s my fault now?”
“Shut up.” He replied still a bit disoriented and moved his head to see Katsuki’s face right next to him. Katsuki was about to sass back but snapped his mouth shut when they locked eyes. From up so close Deku’s eyes were like gems, sparkling with live inside, calling out to him. Without him noticing he lifted his hand to cup one half of Deku’s face, pulling him nearer. The elf seemed in trance as well, wordlessly following but when his eyes flitted down to Katsuki’s lip, he broke their eye contact. Pulled back from whatever just happened they started to blush furiously and tried to push or shove away from each other. After some limb coordinating they stood again.
“Ugh… so…”
“Yeah….”
“Youuu… should probably go back to training? Oh! And I have to help my mom out! I totally forgot. So… see you at the Christmas Party next time?” Deku flailed his arms again and tried to leave this awkward situation behind.
“Sure…” Katsuki was still not sure what had happened between them and just followed with his eyes Deku’s body as he quickly made his way around the barn and back into the village. His green mop of hair got smaller and smaller until the only spot of color vanished completely.
With a sigh Katsuki let his eyes swipe over the place and caught a pair of heads looking from the barn out to him. Round face and four-eyes. “What?!” He scoffed and as they ducked their heads and disappeared behind the small window again, he huffed annoyed and went back to train for the obstacle course again.
Inside the barn, cuddling the reindeer fawns…
“Tenya, did you see that? Denki and Kyouka were right! They have so much hidden sexual tension!”
“What? No Ochako, Izuku just fell on Katsuki, it was a misfortunate situation.” The diligent post office worker stared down at his girlfriend as she gained her mischief planning expression. “Baby whatever you think, please reconsider.”
“Oooh this Christmas Party will be a blast!” Tenya just sighed and petted the fawn defeated.

Izuku was standing at the eggnog bowl and nipped on his glass from time to time. He was nervous, he hadn’t seen Katsuki since a week at the obstacle course where they almost kissed… they were about to kiss, weren’t they? He was not sure himself. So for the last week he had mostly spent his time in the toy workshop and rushed into work to keep his mind away from that situation. Because if his thoughts drifted into that direction, he would soon realize that his crush on the boy was not buried anymore like he wished it were.
He watched as more and more elves entered the festively decorated grand hall in Santa’s house where every year on Christmas Eve they celebrated together before Santa would take off to deliver the presents. Izuku had heard that Katsuki would go this night with his dad but wasn’t sure if he had won the bet deciding which part he would take. Coal or presents? He was a bit jealous that the blond boy got the chance at all. What wouldn’t Izuku give to help Santa out in the most important night of the year? Actually be Santa for a night. The deep hidden familiar pain surfaced for a bit, reminding Izuku that he was only an elf, never being something more than he was not. He downed his eggnog and refilled his glass once more.
“You seem in a jolly mood.” An unheeding voice spoke to him from the side and startled him. When he turned his head, he found a tall man with heterochromatic eyes watching him, his hair split in the middle in two colors.
“Shouto! It’s been a while, how are you? Did the Ice Queen come as well?” He scanned the hall and found a woman dressed completely in white next to Mrs. Claus, chitchatting and then some.
“I’ve been well, thank you. My mom is having one of her better days so decided to come along this year.”
“That’s good to hear.” Shouto nodded and let his gaze wander over the hall as well.
“I heard that Santa’s son Katsuki is also back this year?”
“Oh yeah! Santa and Mrs. Claus brought him back, apparently he was too naughty. You’re probably gonna meet him tonight, he’s going to fly with Santa.”
“Hm, well if I have to, I’m not really looking forward to it.” Izuku laughed thinking it was a joke and raised his eggnog to take a sip. Shouto and him walked over to the gigantic Christmas tree next to the band to look upon it and point silly pendants out, catching up with news from the South Pole and other gossip. Until suddenly an arm was draped over Izuku’s shoulders and his whole body was pressed into a firm side.
“Look who’s here ~ the half-and-half princess, you enjoying the penguin free environment up here Icyhot?” Katsuki smirked at them as he joined the small group.
“Kacchan! That’s not very nice of you, penguins are cute!” Izuku protested and tried to look up at Katsuki but being pressed into him, it was more difficult to catch his expression. Or to ignore his fast-beating heart.
“No way, they are the fucking pigeons of the South Pole, shitting everywhere.” He had to giggle while Shouto frowned, feeling kind of insulted.
“Katsuki. You haven’t changed a bit.”
“Thanks, you instead just got uglier.” When Shouto wanted to reply back, Santa entered the hall and the elves’ chatting ceased to a stop, also stopping the ice prince and the whole attention was at Santa as he started to greet them all and began with his traditional Christmas speech. Suddenly Izuku got pulled away and Katsuki let him out of the grand hall on one of many balconies.
“Kacchan! We’re gonna miss the speech!”, he whispered urgently but got ignored completely.
It was already dark outside and snowing a bit while the bright light inside shone softly through the windows.
“Oh shut up, it’s the same speech as every year! How you elves worked oh so hard, that it was teamwork bla bla bla and that he is fucking thankful. I’ve got bigger news for you nerd. Wanna hear?” Katsuki closed the window-door behind them and the loud voices inside were muted at once. The blond boy stood before him in a cream-colored sweater and black pants, his hands shoved into the pockets, wearing a silly Santa hat.
“Oh, u-uhm…. Sure.”
“I won the fucking bet. This year I’m going to deliver the presents.” He smirked at Izuku, obviously proud of his achievement, but the elf felt a pang of jealousy at the news instead. He was happy for him! Really! But… Katsuki took his hands out of the pockets and took a step closer, looking kind of solemn. “Do you wanna come with me?” It was whispered and Izuku thought he didn’t understand it right but then Katsuki took another step, standing right in front of him, took his hands into his and asked again a bit firmer. “Wanna deliver the presents with me tonight?”
Tears were suddenly in his eyes and with a fast-beating heart he threw his arms around Katsuki to hug him to death. “Yes!!! I do!!!” He shouted happily, filled with so much warm and love for the boy who chuckled and called him softly ‘nerd’. Katsuki returned the hug and the two of them stood contently like that for a while.
Izuku let his gaze wander, in the process of letting go of the hug and found unexpectantly a mistletoe hung above them at the balcony lamp. “Oh! Ugh! Don’t look up!” Not sure what to do he reinforced the hug and tried to distract Katsuki. But of course the blond had to look up and saw the small mistletoe above them. He hummed vaguely and before Izuku knew it Katsuki cupped his face with his warm hands and pressed his lips firmly on his. All at once excitement, nervousness and so, so, sooo much love exploded in him. He was confused but happy. What did this mean for them? His brain was working so sluggish but actually, he could think later about it.
When Katsuki pulled back slowly, uncertain about Izuku’s reaction because he hadn’t kissed him back, the elf moved at last and pulled the boy in at his sweater, pressing into him and returned the kiss stronger than before. At that Katsuki hummed appreciating and let his arms wrap around Izuku again, trying to erase any distance.
They didn’t stop to kiss and every time the other wanted to part, the other pulled them back again. Some quiet moans were shared between them and when both of them were eventually out of breath they panted heavily looking each other into the eyes.
“Fucking finally.” Katsuki breathed out and smiled down at Izuku who couldn’t hold back his ten-thousand-watt smile, overflown with giddiness.
“I like you so much Kacchan!”
“Good because I like you, too.”
“W-what does that mean for us?” The first thoughts came nagging at Izuku’s brain and he looked up at the blond, feeling uncertain suddenly.
“Don’t worry”, he gave him a quick kiss again, “let’s talk later about it. It’s fucking cold and we have a sledge full of presents to deliver.” Pressed into each other they entered the grand hall again, merging back into the festive and merry crowd to celebrate the best Christmas they yet had.
Meanwhile a group of young elves…
“Ok real talk. Whose mistletoe was it on the balcony?!” Ochako eyed each one of them but everyone was just shrugging or shaking their heads not knowing.
“Kyouka and I were guessing the backyard and put up some there.” Denki scratches his head perplexed.
“Dope! I got all the stairs and doors covered!” Camie called out and Yuga nodded along.
“Oui, I got the kitchen!”
“I did the entrance hall as told!” Tenya chopped his arms and also shook his head.
“I know baby but if Togata and Hitoshi got the sledge shop and Mei the emergency drone – then who got the balconies?!” Ochako gasped upset, hating not to know the brilliant matchmaker.
In the background a certain blond, red eyed Santa heir smirked over the unsuspecting elves and nipped on his eggnog.
“Brat! Don’t smirk into your drink! That’s creepy as hell!”
*.*.*.*
Masaru was putting on last details of his Santa apparel and got checked out by his wife Mitsuki. “How do I look darling?” Mrs. Claus stepped in front of him and patted slightly over his coat.
“For only delivering coal way to good.” Masaru chuckled lightly and gave her a quick peck on the lips.
“I’m still Santa. I’m not giving up my position yet.” Mitsuki smirked and set his scarf anew.
“You’re right. But I think our plan worked just fine. The brat definitely knows his place now and one day he will be a fine Santa, or a Mrs. Claus if my eyes are not deceiving me.” She laughed out and stepped back to let her husband get a last glance at the mirror.
“Oh, you mean he would give up the position for Izuku?”
“Not without a fight but probably out of love.” Masaru hummed contently and nodded.
“That’s something Katsuki would do. But we’ll see, they still have a few years.” They entered the sledge shop where Togata and Hitoshi were getting the last reindeers ready and Izuku couldn’t keep his excitement in, mumbling wildly while checking out every detail.
“Boys, please take your seats.” Masaru called out to them and Katsuki started to pull Izuku away from the reindeers to the sledge. They were also dressed warmly in cloaks, Izuku in his festive elf cloak, a velvet green and Katsuki in an orange Santa takeoff cloak.
After he said goodbye to Mitsuki he squeezed himself next to the two boys on the sledge. It was a bit tightly, not made for three people but at least they would be warm. “Alright you two. We have a narrow time schedule. Please give it your all and watch out for icy roofs! Let’s pray for no casualties.”
“Thank god for time zones”, Katsuki mumbled out and rolled his eyes. Masaru laughed his famous Santa laugh, and then gave his clear to the elves.
“Togata, Hitoshi, are we all set?”
“Set! Have a wonderful Christmas sir!” The shop’s gate opened, and the two elves urged and pushed the reindeers for takeoff. With a yank the sledge started to move, and they left the shop quickly behind. Left and right elves had gathered for the famous takeoff and cheered excitedly.
“Merry Christmas everyone! Hohoho!” Masaru called out, threw a glance to the two boys next to him who held hands and then focused his eyes ahead of them into the night.
They took off and soon the North Pole was left behind them getting smaller and smaller.
*.*.*.*
After the stressful Christmas Night the sledge returned in the early morning hours. On the last miles back to the North Pole the two boys fell asleep, thoroughly exhausted and Santa had to wake them up again. Katsuki, when tired was a real grumpy person and once Deku had wanted to head back home, he just got pulled along with the blond who grumbled annoyed and led them into their small living room where they snuggled up in front of the fireplace. Katsuki threw a blanked over them and pressed his chest to Deku’s back. Their limbs intertwined slowly and Deku hummed contently.
“Thank you Kacchan.” The other hummed back and they were about to fall asleep again when Deku couldn’t let go of his thoughts. “Kacchan… will you leave the North Pole again… now that you’re allowed to?” He whispered faintly and when he didn’t get a reply he thought that Katsuki was maybe already asleep or that he spoke too quietly. But then the blond behind him grunted and pulled Deku further to him.
“Probably, but I don’t know. Depends on whether you come with me… or not.”
“You… you think I could come with you to New York?!” The elf sounded a bit more awake, excited by that thought.
“Why not? If you want to. We can talk tomorrow with the old hag about it, let’s just fucking enjoy this.” Katsuki sounded already half asleep again and Deku snuggled more into him.
“Okay. Merry Christmas Kacchan.”
“Merry Christmas Deku.”
~ The End ~
