Chapter Text

It’s 2:43 AM.

The city’s quiet. Streetlights hum. The world is resting.

Except Momo Ayase.

Barefoot. Pajamas. Eyes half-closed.

Driven by pure sleepy instinct and boyfriend magnetism.

She wanders into a late-night sandwich shop like it’s fate.

Cashier:

“…Can I help you?”

Momo (barely upright):

“I need… a ham sandwich… for my Okarun…” 😴

The cashier just nods like, You know what? I’m not questioning this level of dedication.

She pays, grabs the sandwich, and somehow also collects a glass of water.

Then she wanders the rest of the way to Okarun’s house—like a homing pigeon fueled by dreams and affection.

Okarun’s still awake, tinkering with something, maybe reading manga, trying to calm his nerves after last night’s “Pudding Knight” fiasco.

His door creaks open.

He freezes.

There she is.

Sleepwalking her way in, holding a tray with a ham sandwich and a glass of water.

Momo:

“…for you… you need.. hydration… Zzz…”

She sets the tray on his desk like she’s delivering room service at a five-star hotel made of feelings.

Okarun practically melts.

Okarun (soft, touched):

“Hey… thanks, Momo.”

Momo:

“You’re welcome…” tiny sleepy bow 😴

She turns, like she’s about to leave and wander the town again.

She looks over her shoulder—just barely—eyes still closed.

Momo:

“Don’t forget… the crust… is loved… Zzz…”

Then she walks straight into the doorframe. Bonk.

Reorients. Leaves.

Okarun watches her go with a face like:

I am in love with a cryptid powered by naps.

He takes a bite of the sandwich. It’s… weirdly good.

She put soy sauce on it again.

Because of course she did.

And he eats the whole thing anyway

Notes:

Well here’s to another chapter of hilarity.
