Chapter Text

Dick whined loudly. “I miss Danny! He’s been gone forever!” He looked at the rest of the pack with worried eyes. “Do you think he’s doing okay? Do you think he’s eating enough? Do you think he’s staying warm?”

Jason rolled his eyes. “It’s been like five minutes, he’s fine,” he deadpanned. He let out a large sigh. “But yeah, I miss him too. I miss his jokes, he was the only person in this family with a decent sense of humor.”

“More like a morbid one,” Dick said, shuddering. “I miss his cuddles, no one else lets me cuddle them like he did.” To demonstrate he tried to hug Damian, who tolerated it only for a second before pushing him off. Dick made wide eyes at everyone and gestured with his hands, as if to say “see?”

“I for one will miss the way he brightened this place,” Alfred contributed. “And the way he brought you all together.” Bruce nodded in agreement at that.

“I will of course be perfectly fine now that he’s gone,” Damian loudly proclaimed, but a moment later he deflated. “But it was, perhaps, nice to have someone to teach and train myself.”

Jason looked at Tim, who was messing with something on his phone. “You’ve been awfully quiet, Timbo. What, are you going to say that you’re perfectly fine with him gone, too?”

Tim kept staring at his phone. “Hold on Jason, I just need one… more… minute…”

The rest of the family were also staring at Tim now. “What in the world are you doing, Drake?” Damian frowned.

Tim ignored him. “Almost got it… and… there!” With one final push of a button Tim looked up. “Sorry, what was I doing, you ask? Oh, nothing much.” He waved his phone. “Just using the universe tracker I placed in Danny’s camera to pinpoint his exact dimension.”

There was a moment of stunned silence. “What!?”

Tim smirked.

“And do you have the coordinates?” Bruce asked.

“Who do you think you’re talking to?” Tim showed them his screen. “Earth CN-04. Just need to borrow a dimensional transportation device from the Justice League, make sure the timelines are synced up, and then we can visit as much as we want.”

Slowly, identical grins of anticipation crept over everyone’s faces.

Notes:

And with that, we’ve made it to the end! Wow! I set out to write a story for me to get back into and practice writing after not being able to get myself to write much for years. That so many people have read and liked this means a lot to me.

A big thank you to those of you who commented on every chapter. I would get each chapter as good as I could make it, post it, and immediately go, wait, is this actually terrible? And then the comments would come in and I’d go, ‘Oh good, they still like it, we’re doing fine.’ You all are a big part of why I made it to the end, and why I could not stick to a once a week update schedule to save my life.

However, there is one thing.

My goal was to set out to make a Danny Phantom/Batfam ABO fic with an ending. And I have accomplished this. But, I also wanted to explore a lot of my favorite tropes, and I wasn’t able to fit them all in here (*eyes Jason*). And about halfway through writing this I got an idea for how to continue this story past what I had planned.

So. A sequel is coming.

If you liked this story and you are happy where it is, I think it’s wrapped up pretty well and you should be good. If you want to see more, I have added a series tag, and you should be able to bookmark or keep an eye on that for when the sequel starts. I again have it fully outlined, and part of it written. I’ll post the first chapter within a week or two.

As a heads up, I don’t think the sequel will be as ABO focussed (though some elements will still be present). Though who knows, I’m still in the drafting stage.

Thank you all again for reading.

Notes:

I haven't written anything in ages, so this is me trying to get back into it by filling a fic with my current favorite tropes. Story is fully planned out, partially written. Updates Saturday, at least that's the goal.
