Chapter Text
"Isn't that the third burger you've had this week? Fatass."
Reigen rolled his eyes, stuffing a hand into his hoodie pocket while sipping his soft drink in the other. "At least I'm controlling my own body, poser. When are you going to let that poor guy go?"
Ekubo smirked, stretching the arms of the security guard he was possessing above his head with a yawn. "Nothing wrong with taking a break like you're obviously doing right now. Besides, I've possessed less incriminating humans for longer than this. He won't notice a thing."
"That's despicable."
"Says the guy that scams people for a living."
"Oye, I run a perfectly respectable business solving people's issues. And we do get rid of evil spirits with Mob." Reigen looked around. "Where is he anyways?"
"It's the weekend, he's gone somewhere with his friends unlike your lonely ass." Ekubo leaned an arm against Reigen's shoulder, leering at him with a grin. "What, you worried about Shigeo running into more trouble or something?"
The conman stiffened at the touch. He could never get used to the evil spirit's tangible presence when he had a body. It was grounding, reassuring almost. As if he truly wasn't alone. Reigen sighed, and turned to the other figure with a small smile.
"Nah," Reigen extended his drink to Ekubo. "I know he's in good hands, even when I can't be there."
"Hm." Ekubo sipped the proffered drink thoughtfully. Finally, he gave an exasperated sigh and pushed off of Reigen's shoulder, stalking away with his hands shoved in his pockets. "Fine. I'll return his stupid body and check on Shigeo, happy?"
Reigen make a series of incomprehensible motions with his hand, laughing loudly. "And the great Reigen Arataka's special persuasion attack against the evil cult leader is once again a success!"
"Shut up."
