Chapter Text

Y/N didn’t know what to currently do, how was he meant to even mention this to any of his friends at all?

The boy had a problem, a major one.

There pacing around the room without a single clue on what the exactly do, there Y/N was, walking aimlessly around his house the moment he figured something out.

The thing was, his friends were already introduced and knew him as a girl, something that usually wasn’t meant to be changed after nights of knowing each other.

Y/N just didn’t know how he was even going to tell them, if he was going to tell them at all, that is.

The question was, would they even accept them for who he wanted to be now? Sure, he could still be the same person he always was, but he’d be a completely different person in a different way.

However, the bigger question was, who should he tell first? There was many ,yet limited, options that Y/N could choose from? And what if there was somebody who didn’t accept him? What would the others do then?

Y/n was stressed out about everything, just for simply wanting to be somebody else. He couldn’t imagine having to move out because of this thing he decided to put himself through.

But it would make him feel more free than if he kept it hidden away for years until they’re all die of old age, if they even could anyways.

Taking in a huge breath of air before exhaling it back out, Y/N went to go sit down, deciding to only narrow it down to one person that he could trust with this information before moving to somebody else later on.

A few minutes had passed and Y/N had picked off his friends that he felt the least most trusting of, getting it down to only three people: Frank, Eddie, and Wally.

Then it was only down to one, Wally. He had been the very first person that Y/N had met once they had moved into the neighborhood and had been one of his closest friends since.

Yet the boy still wasn’t entirely sure that he would be accepted, a sheer feeling that anything could happen once he told the smaller puppet.

It had well been more than just a few days when Y/N had realized he didn’t want to be a girl anymore, having to ignore how many times he could’ve been called the name he had preferred if he came out right then and there.

Getting up from the table Y/N sat at, he only had a simple decision to make, either to tell Wally and try to start living life how he wanted, or to not tell Wally or any of his friends at all for the rest of his life.

It was clear what the boy wanted to be exact, though it shouldn’t be too hard to simply just, tell Wally, Y/N had never heard him nor his other friends talk about any of that topic.

Yet Y/N just needed to get it over with, if they didn’t accept them, he could just move out or ignore them for as long as he could live.

Fast forward a minute or two later, Y/N stood at the front door of Wally’s home, only standing a few feet away for when the door would open.

He hesitated when he knocked, fidgeting with whatever he had on him while he took a few steps back after knocking on the door.

At the very moment that Y/N decided to stop standing around and head back home, the door creaked open with the puppet himself standing there.

“Hello, Neighbor. What brings you here?” Wally asked while he stared at Y/N, he was prone to simply calling him ‘neighbor’ instead of their deadname.

Y/N stayed silent until he actually spoke up, incredibly nervous and afraid. “Can I talk to you inside? It’s personal.” He said, shifting more weight onto a his other foot while he waited for any possible outcome.

“Of course, Neighbor. What do you want to talk about?” The shorter puppet stepped aside so Y/N could enter his house, allowing home to close the door on itself while he turned to look at the latter.

“Wally..I’m.I want to be a boy. I want you to call me like a boy. I don’t want to be a girl anymore, Wally.” Y/N blurted out to him, his word choice being last second.

The two were stood right before the entrance of Wally’s home, if Y/N wanted to leave, he could do so as fast as possible. The silence was enough to suffocate Y/N right then and there.

“That’s okay, Neighbor. How long have you wanted me to call you as I would a boy?” The single sentence alone was enough to convince Y/N, rushing to bring him into a short but stuffed hug, smiling brightly while he had to bend his knees to reach him.

Wally grunted upon impact, almost falling onto the floor. Slowly but surely, Wally leaned against Y/N, unsure of what to do but embraced it fully.

More silence arose after that, Y/N ending up pulling away from Wally and having to make sure he wouldn’t crumble onto the floor, standing back up but still smirking the same as he once did.

“So what now?” He asked after being able to stand up more properly, looking at Y/N again.

“I guess I’ll come out to the others then.”
