Moon was never liked asking the elders but for his Sundrop for his mate he would do anything for him no matter what.
Moon came up the elders caves being over with Eclipse coming out with his dark red scales then Lunar with his light blue practically translucent scales and Solar with his golden scales and silver scales all of them being 100 feet long and definitely bigger then Sun and Moon.
Eclipse smiled and scooped Moon "why Moon it's good see you" petting Moon on the head with Lunar and Solar joining in. Lunar gasped "I think you've grown" Solar nodded pulling on Moon's tail "and your tail turned out beautiful" Moon forced a smile "thank you um but I wanted to ask you guys something" Lunar and Solar took their hands away with Eclipse looking at Moon more serious "really? what about? is about your mate Sun?" Moon shook his head "no just wanted to ask... what would cause a human to become like us?" Eclipse, Lunar and Solar looked at each worried "what is it?" Moon asked.
Lunar nudged Moon's shoulder where he had been stabbed by the harpoon with their finger "did you get your blood on a human?" Moon looked at Lunar confused "what?" Solar sighed "the only way a human can become like us is if their blood mixes with ours" Moon's eyes got wide remembering the storm 'that must how it happened' Moon thought to himself "is there a cure i-if this happened" Eclipse sighed "no" all three answered.

You laid in the waiting pool for the night wanting to sleep but what you wanted most was more water. Once morning came climbed over the rocks and sand blocking the tide pool from the ocean 'just quick dip' you told yourself as you steady yourself going towards the ocean.
Though it was only a few minutes after you left the tide pool that it started to get harder for you to breathe making you fall on your knees.
Sun swam over to you on shore "what are you...?" Sun didn't get to finish that sentence looking at you worried.
You coughed a bit before asking "w-what is it?" Sun touched your neck which felt weird when he did so, like there was a new part of your body there on your neck.
You shiver "what is that?" Sun looked nervous, "gills" you groaned coughing "g-great-t" Sun picked you up "you wanted to be in the water right?" you nodded.
Sun cradled you like a parent would a child making sure your head was above water while the lower half of your body was underwater.
You tried to keep your eyes open snuggling close to Sun "this feels better" Sun smiled "good you look tired why don't you rest" you sighed "don't let me drown ok" Sun cupped your face "I won't"

Sun held you close as you slept you would occasionally groan or shiver from your body changing with your right hand having fully webbing and claws like him and Moon and fin like ears.
Sun cupped your sleeping face "please don't die little friend, just please hang on" Sun whispered, "Sundrop how are they doing?" Moon asked Sun turned around showing you were sleeping but the lavender colored scales were now covering the entire right side of your body with the left side slowly being covered.
Sun petted your head "please tell me you have good news" Moon sighed "we can't do anything" Sun gripped you almost bruising you "what do they know" Sun said trying to keep his voice down "they seem to have the same answer every time, 'wait and see' 'we can't fix it' 'you'll never have-'" Sun whimpered then started crying Moon hushed Sun "hey hey Sundrop, it's ok they are going to be fine just...we have to make sure they are taken care of" Sun looked up at Moon tears in his eyes "promise Moony" Moon kissed Sun "promise"

You found yourself in a dark void with the echo of dripping water around you "where am I?" you asked yourself out loud. As you got up to look around you noticed someone else was with you in the void that you didn't notice at first.
You walked up to them wanting to ask about this place "hey do you know..." you screamed seeing it was you but covered head to toe in lavender colored scales webbed hands and white claws your hair replaced by fins with your legs fused into a large moon tail.
The other you smiled showing off sharp teeth "awe it's ok little one don't be frightened" you shake your head "no I don't want this, Sun said he is gonna help fix me" the other you laughed as they disappeared below the inky void.
You looked around hearing the laughing continuing as the other you grabbed you and pulled you into the inky void.
You start thrashing suddenly forgetting Sun was holding you though you as you kicked a swarmed Sun lost his grip having your head go below the surface.
You tried to swim to the top but before you got close you started to cough having bubbles release from your mouth at first you thought you were going to drowned then you started to breathe, you were breathing underwater.

Sun swam to you ready to take you back up when he noticed how scared you looked as you were breathing "why can I breathe down here?" Sun frowned "me and Moony are trying to figure that out in the mean time you can stay on the land if you like" Sun said reaching towards you.
You shook your head, Sun lead you to his and Moon's home which Sun set up a bed of seaweed "just sleep for now Y/N" you sighed and caved into sleep soon after.
Moon soon returns with dinner to find you sleeping at the foot of their cave.
Moon looked confused "how are they down here? are they dead? did you drag a body down here?" Sun sighed then pointed to your new gills as you flinched a bit in your sleep.
Moon sighed "you know we can't let them stay forever they will need to find their own home here" Sun nodded "I know but just for a little while" Moon gave his partner a small smile "just you I'll let them stay for a 'little' while"

The day after Sun started to help you get use to your new body.
Sun taught you to swim properly, which you looked like a child trying to swim for the first time which Moon couldn't help but laugh at you.
After about a week you finally were swimming like a natural mermaid.
After that Moon then started to help you use clicking and chirping to communicate to certain marine life mostly for luring purposes.
It took almost a month but you finally got the hang of it luring enough fish for at least a small meal.
After the fifth month Sun stopped making excuses for you to stay.
Sun sighed "I guess we should start finding Y/N a cave" Moon nodded in agreement "about time"
However as they looked for a cave and home for you Moon kept saying each one wasn't good enough.
After looking at five different possible homes Moon huffed "all those places were terrible" Sun gasped flabbergasted at Moon "what are you talking about Moon they were perfectly fine" Sun said folding his arms, you nodded in agreement "yeah I kind of agree with Sun here you have been kind of picky with what will be 'my' new home" you said swimming over to him.
Moon rolled his eyes swimming away from you "I just want you Sun's friend to be in a safe place to make my sweet mate happy" Sun looked at Moon not convinced "really, because if that was the case my dear mate the last one would have been perfect for Y/N" Moon shook his head "no that wasn't enough food in the area" Sun sighed "Moony if I remember correctly the last cave we saw a plenty of food around and even had crystals on the inside and the softest seabeds I have ever seen"
You then connect the dots "Moon... do you not want me to leave anymore?" Moon looked away from you not saying a word "oh my sweet Moony you don't have to be embarrassed if you changed your mind"
Moon sighed "I know just let's not make a habit out of it ok" Sun smirked kissing Moon on the cheek"promise"
Then Sun turned towards you "well Y/N looks like your staying"
