Chapter Text
Hello, everyone. It's been three years since this work has been updated, and let me just say that I have NO excuses. I simply fell off telling the story I want to tell, which, believe me, was something painful for me to do. I actually had the fifth chapter on my phone, written and frozen in time, however, I didn't have the chance to edit it because it got broken. Nevertheless, this caused me to lose motivation over something I had the passion to do. I felt guilty as everyone who commented wanted this to continue, but since I wasn't in the fandom and I haven't read the books in ages I felt like it isn't my place to do so. Then, this year, I got my motivation out of nowhere back. I can't explain how, or why, but... I think it's time I don't leave you guys hanging. I'm in another different fandom, and I have my fair share of multi-chapter projects that I really need to finish, but I want to have the time and day to finish this. So, yes, this fic is still in the works, and I'm continuing it.
However, I've reread this, and let me just say... what was past self me thinking? There were so many subplots happening in the book (although my favorite one would be Zagreus, and I am NOT cutting him out of the story), and no coherent plotline to be done. I want to integrate so many of the missed opportunities, and I just think that this work needs a LOT of improvement. I was thinking fewer characters (holy crap what was I thinking? there is no way I can fit all of this into one good narrative without forgetting who's who) who aren't that important to the plot, simply gathering them up every chapter.
So, without further ado, I will rewrite this. I'm not sure when I will finish, but I swear I'll have it out sometime after 2023, hopefully.
I haven't started yet, but let's just say tons of Reading the Books Series like this never impressed me, so that's why I'm doing this again.
